"Know Thyself"
The Synchromystic Oracle
at the Tek-Gnostic Electronic Mystery School

"Ask... and it will be given to you. Seek... and you will find. Knock... and the door will be opened to you."
- Matthew 7:7

The concept of synchronicity was first described by Swiss psychologist Carl Gustav Jung in the 1920s. It maintains that just as events in the phenomenal world may be grouped by cause, they may also be grouped by their meaning. Since meaning is a complex mental construction, subject to conscious and unconscious influence, it cannot be explained simply in terms of cause and effect. The term "Synchromysticism" was coined and defined by Jake Kotze as... the art of realizing meaningful coincidence in the seemingly mundane with mystical or esoteric significance.

Assigning significance to seemingly unrelated events significantly enriches one's mental and spiritual resources. Access to the species-wide collective resource of human knowledge has exponentially increased since the extensive use of the World Wide Web. Examined more deeply, the Web is a gateway to humanity's "collective unconscious," a term also coined by Jung. Exploring the rich resource that is the World Wide Web in terms of mystical or esoteric significance avails us to humanity's electronically connected collective unconscious... now on-line.

We postulate that the world wide web may be used as an oracle, or divinatory tool, similar to the I-Ching or the Tarot. Put more precisely, the internet may be used as a reflective instrument whereby one's question may be considered in the context of a specific website, accessed randomly by the seeker. The essence of this exercise lay in the scrutiny of the synchromystic moment in space-time where the contemplation and the action occur. This premise ties in the scientific concept of quantum theory... the interrelationship between the observer and the observed... with the psychological concept of the collective unconscious and synchronicity.

The Synchromystic oracle acts as a conduit in which the vast information that is the World Wide Web flows through the Tek-Gnostic Electronic Mystery School's widget and hence to you, dear seeker.

In order to utilize the oracle, concentrate upon a question. Once the question is fixed in your consciousness, activate the orb on your right. You will consequently open a portal to another internet presence that may hold a clue to your quandary...

Interpretation is incumbent upon the seeker.

Activate this sphere to inquire of the Oracle...
The seeker may desire to exercise this process multiple times in order to establish a "pattern recognition" effect. Results should be measured by the epiphany of the perceived synchronicity. The element to be alert to... and mindful of... is your immediate reaction to the sites accessed and the patterns that emerge. How does the result of your query effect you?

An example of the importance of your reaction to a randomly generated outcome is as follows…

You cannot “make up your mind” on a particular situation and decide to flip a coin. If the coin toss comes up heads, you will follow one course of action. If the coin toss comes up tails, you will follow another course. You flip the coin and it comes up tails. Rather than simply following the outcome, you have urge to flip the coin again. You instantaneously rationalize “best two out of three.”

By examining the urge to flip the coin again, your unconscious has revealed your true intention on which course to follow. The insight was not gained through the coin toss (simple random generator) but through your intuitive reaction to the coin toss.

Most often the instantaneous reaction (both emotional and intellectual) to the search is more insightful that the actual result of the search. Examine your perceptions. Be open to the possibility of insight gained through the act of the query. Know that your very existence is inexorably connected to everything within universe... and that the answer is out there... if you look at it right.

And remember... the answers are only as good as the questions...
