In a landmark election on November 3, 2020, voters in Oregon approved
several historic ballot measures, including
Measure 109. This measure introduced Oregon’s legalization of
psilocybin, a naturally occurring psychoactive substance found in more
than 200 species of fungi.
The measure does not legalize psilocybin outright, but allows for a
regulated system of medical use, by setting up a state-licensed
psilocybin-assisted therapy system. These services will be provided at
licensed service centers recognized by the Oregon Health Authority, at
the conclusion of a two year development phase. Individual sessions will
be overseen by a certified facilitator, licensed through the Oregon
Health Authority.
Following the conclusion of the development phase and certification
process, these services will be provided at the MindMap
Psychedelic Services Center in Ashland, Oregon, beginning in late
2022/early 2023. In the interim, we plan to offer alternative
psychotropic services, prior to the finalized Oregon Health Authority
plan.
We will provide a broad array of psychotropic services including initial
assessment, psychedelic facilitating,
coaching,
“sitter”
and
integration services. Our
facility will house a psychedelic cultural center, covering diverse
psychedelic practices, from multiple ethnic and indigenous traditions,
including the Western Psychedelic tradition.
If you plan to travel to Southern Oregon in the near future, and are
interested in accessing these services... or would like to be kept
abreast of developments at the psychotropic services being offered at
MindMap... please select the link below, to be included in our e-mailing
list.
We hope to hear from you soon, and remember... the map is not the
terratory.

Etymology:
The term "psychedelic" is derived from the Ancient Greek words psychē (ψυχή,
"soul") and dēloun (δηλοῦν, "to make visible, to reveal") ...translating to
"soul-revealing."
Psychedelia psy•che•del•ia (sahy-ki-del-yə) - noun
A modern (late 20th, early
21st century) subculture of those who have experienced psychedelic
realities, in the tradition of and as experienced and observed by preceding
entheogenic and shamanic cultures, world wide. Often associated with
modern psychoactive compounds such as LSD25 or MDMA.
The term is also used to describe a style of psychedelic artwork and
psychedelic music. Psychedelic art and music typically try to recreate or
reflect the experience of altered consciousness. Psychedelic art uses bright,
neon colors, highly
distorted and surreal visuals and full spectrum audio to evoke and convey to a viewer or listener
the artist's experience of psychedelic realities, or to enhance the
understanding of psychedelic experience. Psychedelic music uses distorted electric guitar,
Indian music elements such as the sitar, electronic effects, sound effects
and reverberation, and elaborate studio effects, such as playing tapes
backwards or panning the music from one side to another.
Psychedelic states may be
elicited by various techniques, such as trauma, sensory stimulation or
deprivation, meditation, athletics, and most notoriously, by the use of psychedelic substances. When
these psychoactive substances are used for religious, shamanic, or spiritual
purposes, they are termed entheogens.
